Composer’s Notes
I wrote this for Rally Sunday at my church in 1990. It is a light, frolicking little ditty that sounds more like skipping than walking. The choir even gets to whistle the main melodic fragment. Another option rather than whistling is suggested in the music. Walk as Children of Light is not hard vocally, and has a fun, playful accompaniment which works well on piano or organ.
