Composer’s Notes
This is one of my favorite hymns, and I arranged it at the request of my former congregation, Ezekiel Lutheran Church, River Falls, Wisconsin, in 1996. It was premiered at Sunday worship as a tribute to Phil Klacun, who was retiring after ten years. This tune (John B. Dykes) is also one of Phil’s favorites. Elliot Wold conducted the premiere. The setting is accessible to the average church choir, with an appealing but not too difficult accompaniment.
