Composer’s Notes
My Help Comes From the Lord was commissioned by the Virginia Children’s Chorus in 2015 and was premiered by the Chamber Singers, their SATB high school ensemble under the direction of Paul Putnam. The premiere took place on an all-Kallman concert presented by the four choirs of the organization from grades 2-12. The conducting duties were shared by Carol Downing, Paul Putnam, Louisa Priore and the composer.
